U-10 for 1999-2000 Season
We are looking for Players!!!! For the 2000-2001 Season
Both U-10 (90-91) and U-11 (89-90)
Our practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Columbia Park from 4:30 - 6:00. Columbia is located on 190th between Hawthorne Blvd. and Prairie.
Coach / Trainer for the U-10 team is Rodrigo Viana Santos
Coach / Trainer for the U-11 team is Sal Filho, Rodrigo will also assist with the training.
There is still openings for both teams.
Torrance United Soccer Club started this team as a Developmental team. Many people helped get this team started, but it was Steve Alyea and Susan Medlicott that came up with the idea and started the ball rolling.
1999-2000 was our first season, like many "firsts" it was tough. We started the season with more than half of our players that were technically U-9.
Our goal was:
To give above average training
To players with an above average gift for their age
And to be competitive at the same time
The goal was met! By the end of the season we had closed the gap in scores for the games. The kids had fun being challenged and learned more about the game of Soccer than just winning.
The Parents and Players have decided that for the 2000-2001 Season we will split the team into U-11 and U-10 teams. This we feel is best for the players and for both teams.
Each team has a roster of 7 players from 1999 and are looking for players to add for the new season (2000-2001).
